    Love the podcast!! However, just wanted to correct one point regarding Spelunky. While you can sacrifice the “maiden” at the alter, you are also able to sacrifice any of the other human like characters, such as the cavemen, the shopkeeper, or the person-eating plants.

    Hi ladies! Great work on this new podcast :-)

    A brief remark on the presence of women in MMORPGs: I think this presence is (or should be) acknowledged at least by players of these games. My only experience is playing a few months of LotRO, and if you’re part of a guild or in other ways participate in social activities, you will quickly find out how diverse the player base is.

    I’m pretty sure that this is also known among scholars of MMOs and social gaming, as this is an area that has received a lot of academic attention.

    The question then is: why doesn’t the general industry and press acknowledge this or find this interesting?

    Awesome podcast. I love the drift from Dark Souls to Animal Crossing. Cute game suggestion: Magical Diary. It’s got romance, it’s got time management, and it’s a quasi-visual novel with positive gender roles (which is sadly often an issue in the visual novel genre). And it’s on Steam, and thus reasonably easy to access.
