Hello Medium Difficulty readers – how are you? What are you up to? Playing Mass Effect 3? Yeah, we guessed.
Our submissions inbox is already beginning to receive a deluge of articles on Mass Effect. Consequently, we’ve decided that next week will be “Mass Effect Week” here at Medium Difficulty. To that end, we are soliciting articles on Mass Effect 3 and the rest of its trilogy. It’s already generating a lot of controversy, so we want to hear what you think about it. What are its successes, its failures? How do we measure the impact of player choice in a multi-part series? What possibilities for the medium does it gesture towards? What tangent does it make you want to pursue? What is the significance of a trilogy of this scope taking place in a single console generation?
What we are looking for are thoughtful, critical pieces that examine the game, its reception, and any other issue raised by either. We are not looking for reviews of Mass Effect 3 at this time.
As per our general call for submissions , we cannot offer any compensation for submitted articles at this time (i.e. we don’t have any money). However, we would love to hear, and publish, your thoughts on this landmark game. Let us know what you think!
